My Background

Daniel J. Goodey

CPsychol, AFBPsS, MBACP

I come to psychological therapy and counselling from a diverse and varied background. I have experience working in the criminal justice system, as well as having worked in the transport and engineering sectors. In addition to my private practice, I lecture in psychology and counselling with the Open University and with the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling. I have previously taught philosophy at the University of Louvain (metaphysics, ethics and modern philosophy) and lectured in psychology at West Highland College of the University of Highlands and Islands. I am a fully registered secondary teacher in Scotland (philosophy, religious education, sociology, psychology and modern studies).

 

I have lived in the USA, Ireland and Belgium, but I now live in rural Perthshire, where I enjoy kayaking, hill-walking, fitness training, writing and spending time with my family.
